This talk details a voyage I took along the cost of Mexico's Baja California peninsula to visit the breeding grounds of Grey Whales.

The Curse of the Devil Fish
American whalers used to call Grey whales “Devil Fish” as they have been known to sink whaling vessels. Given this history, it is truly touching that a generation later, the whales are happy to introduce their curious calves to passing photographers.
This talk contains a mixture of photographs and video documenting a journey from San Diego down the coast of Baja California and into the Sea of Cortez and features grey whales, fin whales, humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions and smooth-tailed mobula.
